1993 Mumbai blasts: Sanjay Dutt gets 5 years in jail.
Big blow to Actor Sanjay Dutt, with Supreme Court sentencing him to five years in jail in the 1993 blasts case. The Supreme Court has also upheld the death sentence of Yakub Khan, brother of absconding prime accused Tiger Menon. However, the death sentence of 10 others have been commuted to life while the life term of 17 others has also been upheld.
